**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for assisting in implementing, maintaining and verifying the effectiveness of the Quality Management System including food safety, regulatory compliance and product quality requirements. Specific duties will include:

- Validating quality processes by assisting in maintaining product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures
- Preparing quality documentation and reports
- Microbial and chemistry analysis is conducted and the relevant documentation is completed for testing
- Coordinating quality systems including internal audit, HACCP, Consumer Complaints, document control and NCR systems
- Assisting in maintaining all requirements of the Quality Management System
- Ensuring employees maintain the requirements as set out in HACCP and GMP
- Setting up, using and maintaining laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Maintain adequate laboratory inventory levels

To be successful in this position, you will possess:

- A background in a similar role in quality assurance or laboratory testing or similar
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or similar industry (ideal)
- Experience in testing and working with production teams
- Demonstrated experience with systems and documenting records
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for QA and the drive to learn and progress your career
