**About Us**

The Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP) is a maximum-security facility providing state-wide assessment and orientation services for all male prisoners received into the prison system and is located within the North West Metropolitan Area, Department of Justice. MAP consists of the prison, the custody facilities at the County, Supreme and Appeal Courts and holding cells at St Vincent's Hospital for prisoners requiring outpatient medical treatment.

The position of the Assessment and Transition Coordinator is situated within the Offender Services Unit at the Melbourne Assessment Prison.

**About the Role**

The Assessment and Transition Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the prison complies with requirements as outlined within the prison's Service Delivery Outcomes and other relevant policies. This position may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Determination.

**About You**
- Demonstrated understanding of transition and reintegration issues and needs of prisoners.
- Demonstrated ability to administer risk assessment tools with individual prisoners.
- Demonstrated capacity or aptitude to work with clients who are difficult to engage individually and in group work settings.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a prison setting.

- **Your immunisation history statement (available via your **myGov** account)**

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
