Open Cut Coal Operator

**The Opportunity **This role is with an owner-operator mining organisation currently operating a large-scale open-cut coal mine in the Bowen Basin. Following previous successful years, they are in a phase of growth and are now looking for people to join our successful team. As a key member of the technical services team, you will be responsible for ensuring all survey measurement and reporting is completed in an effective manner.
- A degree/diploma/certificate/Survey experience.
- Registration in QLD Open Cut Coal Mines will be highly regarded, although not essential.
- Experience working as a Surveyor in an Open Cut mining operation.
- Proficient in MS Office, excel, Point Studio, Vulcan, Pix4D.
- Experience working with Trimble GPS, Isite Scanner, UAV Phantom and machine guidance systems would be advantageous.
- Pit Surveys, Stockpile Surveys, end-of-month reporting.
- Current Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of the Qld Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus and passion on continuous improvement.
- A team player mentality and willingness to take initiative and problem solve.
