**About the Role**
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO), the Group Company Secretary will bring best practice to all aspects and lead the company secretariat and governance functions for The Star Entertainment Group and its related bodies corporate in a collaborative and compliant approach. By joining The Star Entertainment Group during this transformational period your efforts and consultative approach will lead to tangible results towards the continued progression of the remediation program.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To support the board as a governance specialist and to be relied upon to provide advice and implement good governance practices across the Group
- Ensure proper systems are in place to comply with legislative, regulatory and ASX listing rule requirements in each jurisdiction in which the Company operates and administer activities in the Company which require compliance with legal, financial, corporate or statutory matters from a corporations and listing regulation perspective
- Build on the company’s continuous disclosure framework and ensure the company has regular rhythms outside the Board cycle to consider matters requiring immediate disclosure
- Build a team culture of collaboration and inclusion and act as a conduit between the board and management
- Understanding and ensuring the company complies with its statutory obligations, ensuring requirements of the ASX, ASIC and other regulators are met, including continuous disclosure
- Providing or procuring advice for directors in consultation with the Board Chair and the CLO regarding the company’s constitution, ASX listing rules and other legal and regulatory requirements

**To be successful in this role you will have**
- Highly desirable to have Undergraduate Qualifications in Law or relevant discipline
- Must have a minimum qualification similar to or a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance or ASX listed company experience
- Extensive experience (5 years +) as an ASX listed Company Secretary
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
- Actively participate in all culture, engagement and leadership initiatives across the company and displays behaviours and standards of a leader and a team player
- Actively take initiative while maintaining all appropriate communication channels with internal and external stakeholders
