
Principal Planner

The purpose of the Principal Planner is to lead project management and rail planning activities in the Rail Planning Unit to ensure the effective management and delivery of the department's rail transport projects, and in particular level crossing upgrade planning projects.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**: - Supporting the Director and Manager, Rail Planning in delivering the level crossing program and prioritisation projects as part of the SEQ Level Crossing Program. Project managing the delivery of rail planning studies and investigations to implement government transport strategies and enable identification of rail investment priorities, including level crossing upgrades. Providing strategic advice and support on various rail infrastructure projects to ensure the government's interests are advocated for and protected in the planning and delivery of rail projects. Developing correspondence, briefing notes, reports, and other communications and supporting material related to Rail Planning's program of works.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Aptitude for adjusting to evolving environments and changing expectations.
