**About the role**:
As an Operations Software Analyst, you'll be working with one of the foremost credit card processing systems in the industry, used by banks and financial institutions across the globe. This role will ideally be based in Melbourne and is fully remote - although regular catch ups with the team will occur.

**About the team**:
As part of a large team based across Melbourne and the Philippines you will be working closely internal stakeholders to provide quality technical solutions to global clients using our card processing technology.

**What you will be doing**:
In this role you will:

- Operate and manage IBM mainframe based test environments.
- Identify and resolve technical defects.
- Support overnight production batches on a rostered basis (additional monetary compensation given).

**What you will need**:

- Sound experience working with IBM Mainframe technology
- Knowledge of modern, end-to-end systems development life cycles.
- Experience working within the core banking or insurance sector
- Strong customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organisation, eg executive, management, individual contributors.
- Excellent problem-solving, team and time management skills.
- A bachelor's in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience.

**Added bonus if you have**:

- Cobol programming experience
- Experience working with Rexx programming language and Endevor
- Experience with P1C, Vision Plus or other scale credit card processing systems
