**About Us**:
The Brisbane School of Distance Education provides lessons in an on-line environment to over 3500 students. This position provides cleaning services to support over 300 staff. The applicant should be flexible, take pride in their work and have an understanding of school and office cleaning requirements. Whilst Brisbane SDE is a school, there are limited students on site and rather than classrooms to clean it is more office style cleaning. Our school is devoted to professional development and staff well-being, while upholding their motto of "each student succeeding". **About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Liaise with Principal/Business Manager concerning purchase and/or replacement of cleaning materials.
- Reporting security, safety, damage concerns to the Principal/Business Manager or Schools Officer (Facilities and/or Grounds).
Highly desirable skills and experience;
- Embrace a team culture that benefits the school community.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform a split shift-commence work prior to 6.00am for morning shift and commence at 1.45pm for afternoon shift - morning start times to be negotiated.
