The role requires a blend of hands on mobile development (both Android and iOS), team leadership (manage a team of 3 iOS Developers, 3 x Android Developers and Testers), as well as contributing towards strategic and architectural decisions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing activities within budget constraints
- Encouraging efficient use of resources and reducing duplication
- Ensuring projects meet performance and safety standards
- Adhering to code compliance and continuous delivery/continuous integration practices
- Maintaining adherence to security and software development life cycle guidelines
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality code through clean, readable, and efficient programming and comprehensive testing
- Overseeing technical development resources
- Providing up-to-date technological advice in collaboration with solution/enterprise architects and cloud engineers
- Being the main point of contact for any mobile app-related queries
- Supporting team members in meeting daily operational and project goals

**Skills and experience required for this role**:

- A degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
- A proven track record of leading or being a senior member of a team that has successfully delivered high-quality native mobile apps
- Knowledge of iOS mobile app development using Realm and Core Data
- Experience in Android mobile app development using Kotlin and Android Studio
- Familiarity with API consumption, especially with AWS
- Strong analytical, teamwork, and collaboration skills to effectively lead team discussions and decision-making
- A passion for technology and a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to manage offshore development resources
- Ability to provide high-quality software engineering practices and guidance to team members
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies, specifically SCRUM
- Experience in a DevOps culture and practices, including continuous integration, testing, and deployment, and knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
