As the Data Analyst, you will be responsible for undertaking data analysis of client and provider data for nib health funds to create upfront claiming rules and develop predictive models for appropriate intervention from Payment Integrity teams.

You will be analysing data from multiple sources using software such as SAS, SQL Server, Sumo Logic and Snowflake. The data will be analysed to understand trends in relation to claiming activity on health policies, clinical outcomes from hospital visits and other related analysis with the purpose of reducing claims leakage.

This role will also be responsible for building, testing, and implementing new rule logics or rule logic updates into nib’s upfront rules engine and will frequently liaise with internal stakeholders on a technical level to successfully transition created rules between Development and Production environments.

With a background in data analytics, you will have experience analysing data from multiple sources using software such as SAS, SQL Server, Sumo Logic and Snowflake.

You’re an excellent communicator with the ability to take ownership of difficult problems, this coupled with a high level of attention to detail will see you succeed in driving business decisions on innovative projects.

Furthermore, we’re looking for:
- Possess knowledge of Private Health Insurance or other insurance related field- Knowledge of software packages such as SAS EG, Microsoft SQL Server- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal- Ability and willingness to learn new software and concepts- Excellent organisational and time management skills- Previous experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics/Insights (desired)
