**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This position is a fundamental role that will lead and provide the strategic direction and alignment around HSE as well as leading overall HSE nationally.

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive cultural change to create a focus on behaviours, accountability and empowerment. This role will provide leadership and guidance to Senior Management to ensure objectives are understood, agreed and achieved.

You will be accountable for developing and implementing the HSE strategy, systems and initiatives, by demonstrating leadership and accountability, purpose, pragmatism, supporting and influencing leaders.

To be successful in this role you will require:

- A strong track record in a strategic HSE leadership role within the vertical Construction sector
- Proven influencing and relationship building skills at all levels within an organisation
- Significant experience gained within a large, complex, high risk and fast paced environment
- An approach that balances a strategic mindset with strong technical knowledge and commercial pragmatism
- Ability to function within a matrix organisation
