**About the role**:

- Helping defence families engage with their communities and manage the military way of life.
- Organising events and activities to support defence families.
- Developing strong community links between the wide community, defence families and the defence force.
- Administration and support tasks.
- Responding to administration and support enquiries and updating records accordingly.
- Stakeholder engagement - internal and external.
- Data collection to assist with the preparation of reports, submissions and other correspondence.

**About you**:

- You will ideally have experience working with defence or veterans previously.
- You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal.
- You will have strong administration skills including accurate data entry, and high attention to detail.
- You will have sound time management and organisational skills.
- You will have the flexibility to work on occasions of an evening or weekend, to meet the needs of the role.
- You will have the ability to undertake intermittent travel as required.

**Benefits**:

- ASAP start date (pending Federal Police Clearance)
- 12-month temporary assignment
- Full time hours - Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day
- Ipswich location
- $40 to $45 per hour + super
