Our commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and quality sets us apart, to which we are now looking for a skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team.

**About the Role**
As a Team Leader at Haines Hunter, you will be responsible for leading the production teams in their relevant areas, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency across operations. You will oversee the daily activities of the team, ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintaining quality and driving continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor and motivate the production team to achieve performance and quality targets.
- Oversee and manage the production process to meet the company’s high-quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate workflows to maximise efficiency and minimise delays.
- Conduct regular safety and quality audits, promoting a zero-harm approach and ensuring full compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, and Quality Control teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Provide on-the-job training and encourage cross-skilling to enhance team productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and reduce defects.

**About You**
To be successful in this role you’ll have:

- Proven experience in 3 years team leadership within a manufacturing environment and preferably in the boating or fibreglass industries.
- Trade qualifications or extensive experience in boat building or related industries are highly regarded.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

- **Assembling**:

- **Fibreglassing**:

- **Gel Coating**:

- **Spray Painting**:

- **Panel Beating**:

- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team performance and meeting production goals.
- A solid understanding of quality control processes and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Hands-on and mechanically minded
