**The Role**
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, your role as the Operations Manager will lead and grow our Asset Care team. This opportunity will allow you to build on a strong Inspection capability and set the business up to capture future projects. If leading a multi-disciplinary team and developing across a variety of industries (Mining, Oil & Gas, Power, Infrastructure) and asset types interests you, then this is the role for you. This role will be based in our West Melbourne office and may require visits to client sites.

**The day to day**
With responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the Victorian team, you will be the focal point for technical, human resource, sales and oversight of work co-ordination. When you’re working with us your day could involve:

- Develop new job opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
- Ensuring that all the aspects associated with the operation including personnel safety, radiation safety, quality, customer relations, sales, environmental management, financial performance, work planning and scheduling are run smoothly and efficiently
- Ensuring active personnel management to develop and grow staff to their potential and foster a culture of “one company”.
- Providing leadership to the business unit through promotion and demonstration of the core ALS values.
- Deliver a wholistic service to our clients that could involve multiple ALS services eg. NDT, Inspection, Condition Monitoring, engineering consulting and/or Mechanical Testing
- Profit & Loss financial responsibility for the Business Unit
- Execute current and assist to develop future Victorian business strategy.

**The essentials**
We are seeking a motivated individual who will ideally possess the following:

- NDT Certification (UT/MT/PT) (desirable) or Engineering degree with strong knowledge of NDT, Inspection and Condition Monitoring.
- Knowledge/experience of tanks inspection and advanced inspection tools desirable.
- Managerial/supervisory experience in a field related to testing, inspection or asset care services.
- Demonstrated safety leadership
- Demonstrated excellence in a customer facing role, ideally within a technical service or consulting sector.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics that impact service businesses.
