**Disability Support Worker**

You will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to children and young people with autism, as rostered and as per their individual support plans in clients’ homes, learning environments and the centre. You will take part in the development of individual support plans and to monitor, evaluate and review. Professionalism and attention to details is highly regarded for this position.

i-Fit Group works with children with physical disabilities as well as learning and behavioural difficulties. We work from a primary and centrally located office with the latest technology, we also complete treatment and assessments within school/home environments to develop SMART goals and attain developmental milestones through sound clinical modalities.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Assist in co-ordinating the day-to-day activities of other staff working on disability support programs and to assist in the development and implantation of novel disability-specific programs.
- Develop resources and training opportunities to support the autism programs Being a part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering improved health outcomes.
- Manage a caseload of children, young people and adults with a disability who present with a variety of needs.
- Therapy services include assessment, consultation, therapeutic intervention planning and program development including those with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
- Delivery of therapeutic interventions for people with a disability and their families and carers
- Communicating with individuals, families and other professionals to ensure appropriate intervention is being delivered
- To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic therapy programs when children are receiving more than one allied health services from the company, in particular, for children with autism and complex developmental needs.

**What do you need to join?**

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) - preferred
- Children’s Level 2 First Aid with Anaphylaxis training
- DSC clearances - all required by NDIS and Medicare
- National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, First Aid Training
- CPR, Full Driver’s License
- Passion for assisting individuals with their activities of daily living.
- Ability to relate well with children, adolescents and adults with disabilities.
- Ability to present professionally, act ethically, and empathetically relate to parents/carers.
- Experience working with children
- Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and physical disability preferred, but not required
- Ability to treat and assess Adults/Children across a wide range of ages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate
- Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written
- The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Punctual, Reliable and Committed
- Open to work on alternate Saturdays
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to follow direction and take initiative
