**About the role**

We are currently seeking to engage a well-experienced individual to undertake the role of General Manager Commercial within our Transport Business Unit. Reporting to the Executive General Manager this role is responsible for providing commercial and contractual expertise during the pre-contract and project delivery stage to ensure that projects are commercially successful whilst providing governance to the systems and processes to ensure compliance.

You will work with a team of driven and professional colleagues who encourage support and delivering optimum results.

**About the role**
- Work with the management teams on the development and implementation of strategies for managing contractual issues including joint ventures, consortiums, and alliances
- Implement a robust project reviews program with the objective of identifying and mitigating delivery risks as well as ensuring compliance with UGL’s project delivery and commercial practices and procedures
- Coordinate commercial claim recoveries within projects across the business,
- Develop and mentor a commercial team within the Division
- Ensuring a high standard of compliance, reporting and data integrity.

**About you**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications supported by proven commercial experience in a complex business
- Proven people leadership and team management skills
- Solid Influencing skills and the ability to achieve outcomes in an environment of managing complex stakeholder relationships, including key business partners
