Genuinely exciting and challenging role focused on diversity and inclusion
- Work with an executive team who are motivated to make positive organisational change
- Based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport
TasWater is Tasmania’s sole water and sewerage provider and a major employer with high impacts on the economy, environment, and well-being of the state. We deliver essential services to more than 430,000 customers - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Employing more than 900 staff, we are a values-driven organisation striving to achieve the vision of “being trusted, respected and making a positive difference in Tasmania”. We are going through an exciting period of growth and have an opportunity for an Organisational Development Specialist to join the team and contribute to the overall success of the organisation and the state.
Reporting to the Head of Culture and Capability, the Organisational Development Specialist will play a lead role in delivering key people initiatives across TasWater. Whilst the primary focus of this role is centered around diversity, equity and inclusion, opportunity exists to contribute to reward and recognition program development, performance development, capability building and other exciting people projects. This senior role will support the design, development and implementation of a range of initiatives that build on our commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture. This includes but is not limited to focus areas such as reconciliation and gender equity, cultural diversity, and inclusion of people who identify as LGBTQI+, people with disability and/or people who are neurodivergent.
With an ambitious people program already underway, you will have the opportunity to make significant positive change across the organisation. Using your extensive skillset, you will enhance TasWater’s business capability with a keen focus on strengthening company culture. You will engage collaboratively with stakeholders from across the organisation to design and deliver initiatives that positively impact our people, organisation, customers and community. You will take a long-term view of what success looks like for TasWater and the industry in Tasmania, including developing industry partnerships.
To be successful in this role you will be a proven organisational development practitioner, with demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional diversity, equity and inclusion outcomes.
