Coordinator Procurement

Drive best-practice procurement and deliver transparent outcomes in this key leadership role guiding Council’s sourcing, compliance and contract management, embedding robust processes, probity and customer-focused service across the organisation.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Manager Governance, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a customer-focused procurement team delivering strategic advice and high-quality services
- Providing expert guidance on procurement, tendering and contract management to achieve value-for-money outcomes
- Developing frameworks, policies, procedures, templates, training and spend analysis to standardise practice
- Managing online procurement systems (VendorPanel, TechnologyOne Supply Chain, tender evaluation software) and Council’s procurement web content
- Monitoring compliance and reporting to senior management to ensure high levels of probity and accountability
- Coaching and mentoring the team to enable a centre-led procurement function
**What You’ll Bring**
- Degree-level qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in procurement, tendering, evaluation and contract management
- Strong leadership, decision-making and high-level communication/negotiation skills
- Proven ability to prepare reports, policies and procedures in a local government context
- Desirable: experience with TechnologyOne; knowledge of Australian Standard contracts and supplier management.
