**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Parliamentary Service Level 4 Emergency Management Officer within the Security Operations Branch. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of emergency preparedness and response activities that support APH.

This role offers variety, purpose and the chance to make a difference in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. You will be required to occasionally work outside normal business hours.

- Communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate administrative and operational tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Contribute to briefings, reporting and data management activities
- Support team members and share knowledge to build capability

**Job Specific Requirements**
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.

**Immediate supervisor**:Emergency Management Advisor

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Service Level 4 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Assist in maintaining the APH emergency control organisation training compliance and administrative functions.
- Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of multi-agency emergency preparedness exercises.
- Prepare emergency preparedness advice to internal stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Assist with the preparation of briefs, internal communications, policies & procedures, after-action reviews and other relevant documents in line APH Emergency Management Governance frameworks.
- Contribute to building the APH security and emergency awareness culture.
- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._
