Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.

About the role
The Stakeholder Engagement Manager will manage and coordinate the allocated Delivery Authority external communications related to stakeholder engagement and issues management activities associated with construction activities. They will adapt strategies to suit specific stakeholders and engagement objectives, as well as to recognise the different phases the project will experience (ie, planning, construction, commissioning). 

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure consistent messaging for external communications related to stakeholder engagement and issues management activities across identified sites and activities. 
- Develop, implement and monitor stakeholder engagement initiatives for the Delivery Authority. 
- Maintain accurate records and provide up-to-date reports on consultation and communication activities to ensure that all relevant parties are informed of issues and outcomes. 
- Identify relevant and appropriate stakeholder segmentation, prioritization, perceptual mapping and strategies for each identified stakeholder.
- Manage the implementation of stakeholder strategies with relationship owners to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Prepare a range of communication tools for stakeholder engagements to support strategies and ensure consistency in messaging. 
- Understand approval conditions and ensure compliance where these relate to stakeholder engagement activities. 
- Understand broader project milestone schedules and ensure stakeholder activities are integrated with the schedule and linked to requisite items. 
- Provide advice internally on matters of non technical risk relating to project objectives to ensure external considerations are a natural part of decision making. 
- Liaise with project teams to ensure that communication activities are appropriate and effective. 
- Support all government reporting requirements including ministerial briefings and statements, board reports, adherence to policies etc.

**Key Competencies**:

- Extensive experience on in developing, managing and monitoring complex communications and major infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising, influencing, and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders. 
- Previous experience in an infrastructure environment is highly advantageous.
