**About the role**
The Australian Childhood Cancer Registry (ACCR) is one of the longest-running and most comprehensive data collections for children with cancer in the world. It is funded and managed by the Cancer Council Queensland and operates with the support of the Australasian Association of Cancer Registries, all major paediatric oncology treating hospitals throughout the country and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and maintaining all ethics-related activities required for the continuing operation of the Australian Childhood Cancer Registry, including a project involving data linkage in each State/Territory to study the late effects of childhood cancer and its treatment. They will also be required to provide strategic advice and support regarding research ethics and governance.
This is a permanent full-time role (37.5 hours per week)

**Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills**
**Essential Skills**:
- Ability to summarise information, provide advice, prepare correspondence and make recommendations to Senior Management on a range of issues impacting upon the operation of the ACCR
- High-level organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to maintain systems to support planning and decision making
- Very high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrated high-level written and oral communication skills, particularly in relation to communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to adjust to a broad range of competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and to work autonomously and effectively as a member of a team
**Desirable Skills**:
- Knowledge and experience in working with the National Mutual Acceptance scheme is desirable
- Familiarity with Australian online ethics research management platforms, including ERM, REGIS, RGS, Ethos and Research GEMS
