**HSEQ MANAGER**

**YOUR ROLE**

**The fundamental purpose of the position is to drive the operational delivery of the HSEQ Management Plan for a major project so that identified HSEQ outcomes are met and to provide timely and expert advice and support to the Project Manager. The HSEQ Manager will work across a wide variety of stakeholders, supporting upcoming projects which span cross-functional teams and divisions.**

- Provides technical support on HSEQ to the Project Manager and oversees the practical execution of the HSEQ Management Plan.
- Responsible for management of the project HSEQ documentation, resources and activities.
- Supporting Corporate HSEQ Objectives including site implementation of Corporate Programmes.
- Driving continuous improvements in leading and lagging metric performance.
- Reports and investigates incidents and near misses and participates in dissemination of lessons learnt.
- Manage the Quality system on-site and ensure all audits and processes are completed.
- Review contractor Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) and related documents and processes, as submitted by the contractors.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager and key stakeholders in developing, issuing, reviewing and maintaining the project Health, Safety.
- Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Management Plan and related process/procedure documents.
- Schedules, communicates, and directs emergency drills at the Project site.
- Conducts risk assessment specific to activities performed on the project maintains Project-related HSEQ documentation and performance data up to date.
- Ensures that all Corrective Action Requests raised on his site are addressed in a timely.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum 3 years' experience in HSEQ related positions in a Heavy Industry / Construction environment.
- Experience in greenfield and brownfield startups/ shutdowns as well as knowledge of the glass industry preferred.
- Read, understand and construct the project.
- Broad-based experience in engineering design, installation and problem solving.
- Higher Technical/ vocational qualification in HSE.
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environment or related discipline.
- Ability to work well with multiple stakeholders and personality types.
- Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis training and experience
- Auditing Qualification
