Are you a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of payroll processes and a passion for accuracy? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer to join our client who is an early childcare provider on a permanent basis. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of large volume payroll for employees in the early childcare sector. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent organizational and analytical skills, we want to hear from you.

Key duties will include but not limited to the following:

- Ensuring seamless fortnightly pay cycles are managed including superannuation payments, parental leave, job keeper and overtime calculations.
- A good working knowledge of payroll legislation, payroll taxes in each state, award interpretation and working with Workcover claims is also required.
- Handling and resolving payroll related inquiries from different sites across WA, VIC and QLD.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations within the early childcare setting.
- Other ad hoc duties as requested by the HR Manager.

**About YOU**
- Proven experience working as a Payroll Officer or in a similar payroll processing role.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and employment laws across different states in Australia is highly desired but not a must.
- Proficiency in using MicroPay or any large payroll system is a must.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
