Payroll Officer

TOM Executive are looking to recruit a Payroll Officer for a 4-month initial contract position, working with a leading Bank in the city on a hybrid working basis. The role is part of a wider business project and there is potential for extension on the initial term of the contract.
**Responsibilities**:
- Handling end-to-end payroll processing using the Chris21 software, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, regulations and legislation.
- Managing and updating employee records, tax details, and other relevant information in the payroll system.
- Assisting in the preparation of payroll reports, reconciliations, and data analysis.
- Collaborating with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll and related processes.
- Addressing payroll-related queries from employees and providing timely and accurate responses.
- Staying updated with changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or a similar role within the banking, finance, or related industry.
- Proficiency in using Chris21 payroll software is essential.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, and employment regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues and employees effectively.
