Long term opportunity in a stable environment for a senior security specialist with a background in network security, wanting a lead role within a large scale environment.

The Role:
Our client has an opportunity for a network security professional who has done architecture and design as well as large scale technical implementations. Your skills should be across networking, firewalls and deploying new technologies in a complex environment.

As a lead architect, you can help with assessing requirements and designs, implementing change and testing solutions.

You will have a core networking and security conceptual and practical knowledge, with recent vendor product knowledge with Fortinet and Checkpoint.

The work will be varied depending on projects that are ongoing and the level of attention required across the teams.

Key Experience Required:

- 7 - 10 years in networking and security with some large scale experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in an IP Network & Security Design/Engineering role
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing / Switching / Firewalling / Load balancing, MPLS, L2 and L3 datacentre technologies
- Fortinet/ Check Point design, implementation and firewall Configuration experience
- F5 Load balancer design and configuration - nice to have
- Excellent understanding of IPSec related technologies & in-depth protocol knowledge for troubleshooting purpose.
- Experience with Large Scale VPN deployment of any type.
- Sound understanding/experience with PKI & understanding of x509 Certificates.
- Cisco / Juniper Router/Switch configuration experience
- Product development and/or customer design experience
- MS Azure, GCP and AWS networking & Security
- Experience in liaising with middle and senior management
- Experience with network test tools / procedure
- Good documentation skills
- Experience in the telecommunications provider environment
