Maintenance and Technical Support

**37.5 hours/week**

We are active in the provision of a comprehensive range of social welfare services, catering the needs from cradle to seniors, including residential aged care, home ageing, settlement and health, vocational and training, disability services, childcare and many more community-based services. We are seeking enthusiastic talents with relevant skills to fill the above position.

**Position Summary**:
The Maintenance and Technical Support (MATS) Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance of CASS Asquith Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) & Independent Living Units (ILU) but will also spend some time to lead and guide the Maintenance Technician of CASS Campsie RACF (especially for liaising and communicating with relevant government authorities, auditors, and contractors in English).

**Main Duties and Responsibilities of MATS Supervisor**:

- Managing all preventive maintenance, repair, and upkeep operations of our RACF & ILU;
- Scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory, developing, and implementing preventive maintenance schedule and procedures;
- Liaising with contractors, vendors, inspectors;
- Ensuring timely compliance to all regulatory requirements e.g. AFSS, back flow, grease trap cleaning etc;
- Documenting and keeping maintenance records required for audit and accreditation;
- Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems, preserve the excellent condition and functionality of our RACF & ILU;
- Responding to urgent maintenance calls including off business hour or rest day;
- Performing general repair maintenance tasks including FFE, landscaping;
- Performing any other tasks as instructed by your superior or RACF General Manager / Manager.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities of MATS Technician**:

- Assisting the MATS Supervisor in the daily repair / maintenance / administrative and laborious jobs in Asquith RACF & ILU.

**Selection Criteria**:
**Essential**
- Proven experience in a maintenance and management role with excellent organisation and leadership abilities;
- Jack-of-all-trades with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures and records keeping;
- Skilled in a variety of areas including plumbing, carpentry, electrical system, handling of basic tools and appliances;
- A good problem solver with exceptional communication and organisational skills;
- Good command of spoken and written English;
- Computer literate;
- Ability to work off hours to attend to emergency;
- Valid police check certificate or can obtain the certificate prior to employment;
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle; and
- Having at least two doses of COVID-19 Vaccination.

**Desirable**
- Technical qualification from universities, colleges, TAFE, or experience in relevant field;
- Reasonable command of spoken Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean;
- Relevant knowledge and experience in aged care services

Salary and employment conditions for the above position is as per Enterprise Agreement. Salary packaging is available. Discount childcare fees are available for CASS’s long day care, before and after school, and vacation care services.
