Job Overview
Komatsu currently has an opportunity for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team in Rutherford, NSW. Working on significant customer projects, this role is responsible for coordinating, with the Project Manager Lead, rebuild projects through our business and will provide coordination to a multidisciplinary team that includes workshop supervisors, supply professionals, engineering professionals and support staff.
Key Job Responsibilities

Comply and enforce Komatsu EH&S policies

Assist with coordinating in conjunction with the Project Manager lead, Major Projects

Coordinate Projects within the Operations environment, and liaising with other departments to ensure onsite work is carried out in a timely manner and to customer’s expectations

Administer contract scope of work requirements, approved variations and closures

Ensure completion of projects within timeframes and to budget

Provide recommendations for improvements based on project outcomes and applied learning’s

Work as part of the wider Operations Department o ensure excellent customer service

Assist Operations Team Leaders with capacity planning relating to the workshop, as required

Assist the Lead project Manager with project progress reporting

Coordinate cross-project planning to resolve conflicts in project priorities, resourcing, schedule and scope

Customer communication, reporting and interaction on all aspects of projects,

Qualifications/Requirements

A solid understanding of the principles underpinning project management;
Project Management certification from a recognized professional body, or willing to obtain or complete training.

Experience within multi-disciplined and complex projects.

Previous exposure to projects within the Mining or similar heavy industries.

Experience in in either Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications highly regarded,

Familiarity with the underground mining industry is an advantage
