Our client is an award-winning publisher of children's books and founded in 1978 in the UK. They are looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team.

THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Marketing & PR Director & managing 2 direct reports, the main responsibilities include the following:

- Create and manage end-to-end campaigns to promote individual books, key brands across all audiences - book trade, consumers, educators and across digital & print platforms
- Deliver campaigns on time, on budget and in line with company values & provide input into budgeting processes
- Run meetings including on a weekly & fortnightly basis with internal & external stakeholders
- Maintain an overall education marketing strategy planned out over each year, with a focus on class sets, backlist and key themes as well as new titles
- Oversee the delivery of promotional strategies including; sell-in materials and advance reading copies, point of sale items, print ads aimed at consumers as well as specialist publications, Amazon A+ assets, packages of social assets for key titles, paid social and programmatic campaigns
- Manage & attend Education Conferences (1-2 per year)
- Keep up to date with changes & trends in Australian & New Zealand Curricula
- Manage sponsorships including of key industry awards, CBCA events & similar
- Provide feedback & creative ideas in meetings with agency publishers
- Play a key role in trade/retail promotions (gifts with purchase, competitions, attendance & activities at retailer conferences, etc)
- Oversee the running of company websites & social media platforms

YOU:

- You will need to be hands on with an ability to create and brief all aspects of a campaign from end to end
- Previous people management experience is essential
- Excellent knowledge of book marketing techniques
- Outstanding written communication skills is a must & the ability to plan, prioritise & manage is essential
