Opportunity for an experience Technical Writer to join a large State Government department in East Perth

**Your new company**

You will be working for a large State Government department, located in East Perth - close to train and bus services.

**Your new role**
- You will be required to develop approximately 60-100 work Instructions for the Communications Technician tasks
- Attend operational site visits with Communications Technicians to gather information associated with the work instructions
- Create training materials to support the Communications competency framework
- Ensure all communication complies with current work standards
- This role will include operational site visits with communication technicians, as required

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong experience in writing and editing a range of high level technical documentation, to a publishable standard
- Experience in interpreting operational manuals, design specifications and technical documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills including advanced skills in editing and writing technical content for non-specialists.
- Good analytical and conceptual skills including a sound understanding of publications development principles.
- Experience with Document Management Systems, e.g. EDRMS.
- Proficient in MS Office products, especially Word, Excel, PDF and Outlook.
- A category 3 medical assessment is required before commencement
