As a Purchasing/Expediting Officer, you will be responsible for:

- Sourcing product and pricing;
- Prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ’s);
- Create and maintain supplier purchase orders in ERP system;
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders if required;
- Monitor supplier performance in the areas of DiFOT;
- Assist in the coordination of the organisations inventory control activities to ensure that accurate quantities of inventory are purchased at the correct price and delivered within the required timeframes;
- Maintain the buying rules, pricing and lead times for all inventory items in ERP system;
- Negotiate appropriate delivery schedules with suppliers in order to ensure optimum inventory levels, lead time whilst maintaining zero shortages;
- Expediting purchase orders ensuring on time delivery;
- Undertake such other reasonable duties as may be assigned from time-to-time by your manager;
- Ensure that any roadblock with the supplier regarding the incident problem solving activity is treated or escalated to site level;
- Improve supplier OTD;
- Cost and inventory reduction;
- Support reliable sources of supply for goods and services;
- Manage suppliers’ incidents in line with group standards in terms of reactivity and methodology (QRQC); and
- Assist with supplier audits.
