**About Your Role: Manufacturing Buyer Team Lead**

Due to business growth, a newly created role has become available for an experienced a Team Lead to join our Underwater Systems team based on-site in Rydalmere. You will be the first point of contact between Thales and our suppliers with an end-to-end
- ownership of purchases placed. You will play a key role in continuous improvement and being a newly created role, you can make it your own.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute procurement strategy by managing and coaching the team and influencing all supply chain actors
- Approve purchase orders issued by the team per delegation of authorities
- Manage purchase order acknowledgment and order cancellations
- Ensure the team manage PO expediting & follow-up, resolve shortages & late delivery issues
- Develop staff capabilities & skills as required, providing training to drive upskilling
- Implement continuous improvement tools (Gemba Walks, 5S, JIT, Plan Do Check Action)

**About You?**
- Bachelor degree in business, logistics, economics or applied sciences
- Solid experience in supply chain, category and or materials management
- Strong leadership experience
- Excellent understanding of order management tools and processes
- Good supply base knowledge and understanding of the supply market dynamics
- Good negotiation skills
