**About the Role**:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Data Business Partnering to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of key data programs and projects that provide critical data services and products to our department customers. In this pivotal role, you will manage multi-disciplinary teams delivering essential data reporting functions and services, while collaborating with key stakeholders to plan and prioritise the team’s program of work.

You will also play a key role in facilitating stakeholder engagement processes, including design workshops, to ensure the creation of fit-for-purpose data products that meet the needs of the department. Additionally, you will oversee the design and implementation of business processes to manage the growing demand for data and information products across the organisation.

**About the Team**:
The purpose of the System Performance Division is to leverage data as a strategic asset to improve educational outcomes. This is done by effectively curating, managing, and analysing data, providing advice and insight to support evidence-informed practices, and fostering a data literate culture. This includes providing data analytics and business intelligence services as well as leading data governance.

As part of the System Performance Division, the Data Operations and Service directorate is responsible for ingesting, storing, organising, and managing data held in the Department’s lakehouse. It is the engine room of System Performance, ensuring that data is clean, high quality, usable and available. Data Operations and Service manages a full delivery life cycle, including data governance, business partnering, business analysis, data engineering, product development, testing, deployment, and production support.

**Qualifications**:

- Essential a tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Data Science or related field. Desirable qualifications in Project Management, ITIL, or Communications.
- **Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO8: $121,107 - $125,679 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
