An excellent opportunity has arisen in KPMG’s Office of General Counsel (OGC) for a commercial lawyer for a fixed term of 12 months. The OGC deals with a wide variety of corporate and commercial arrangements and agreements, regulatory issues and litigation. **Your Opportunity**
Forming part of the Office of General Counsel team this role will play a key role in a wide variety of corporate and commercial arrangements and agreements, regulatory issues and litigation by
- draft and negotiate general contracts and commercial agreements
- Review new products and service offerings
- Provide legal advice in relation to tender documents and client service offerings
- Liaise closely with the business and external counsel
**How are you extraordinary?**
You must hold a current practicing certificate, and we value lawyers with:
- 3-4 years post admission experience with a leading law firm or in an in-house environment
- Experience negotiating general commercial contracts (experience in the engineering consultancy field is not essential but will be considered an asset)
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience building relationships with internal clients at all levels
- A proactive and commercial approach to problem solving
**Qualifications**
You are an admitted lawyer and hold a current practising certificate.
