**About the role**:
Merri-bek City Council is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Residential Noise Management Officer to contribute to the safety and amenity of the municipality through sensitive enforcement of Acts and Regulations and to provide information, assistance and advice to the community.

The Residential Noise Management Officer will support and assist Authorised Officers perform duties and responsibilities under the provisions of the Public Health & Wellbeing Act 2008, Environment Protection Act 2017, Local Government Act 2020 and other relevant legislation.

The incumbent in this position will build upon knowledge and experience and training under close supervision of the Team Leader Environmental Health and with support also provided by Environmental Health Officers.

**Skills and experience require to perform the role**:

- Relevant experience in Environmental Health or a related discipline, or relevant experience/work skills in a related field commensurate with the responsibilities of a Residential Noise Management Officer
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work within a set timetable and in an environment of change and conflicting demands to achieve specific and set objectives
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, including experience in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to gain timely legislative compliance through a range of strategies including education and cooperation
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner with people from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare reports and external correspondence
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
