**What is In Home Care?**

In Home Care is a type of education and care for families where mainstream childcare services are not available or appropriate. Families who are unable to access centre-based care, family day care or outside school hours care due to their unique circumstances may be eligible for the program. In Home Care provides an Educator to care for children in the children’s own home for families:

- _who are geographically isolated from other types of childcare_
- _who work non-standard or variable hours_
- _with challenging or complex needs._

Your role will include:

- _Provide an education and age-appropriate program_
- _Ensure that age-appropriate opportunities are given to the children based on their needs and interests while providing the highest quality care_
- _Provide a safe and nurturing environment_
- _Ensure guidelines, policies and procedures of Northern Rivers Children’s Services are followed and implemented including health and safety_

- Education Qualifications acceptable for an IHC educator include a Certificate III, a Diploma or a Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualifications that have a major focus on Early Childhood Education, _or ‘actively working towards’ one of these qualifications._

Hourly rate:
$34.15 per hour (includes Superannuation) negotiable
