Marine Services Coordinator

**The Role**:

The Marine Services Coordinator predominately supports marine operations, the role encompasses leading the safe, efficient, and reliable-effective execution of marine activities for Prelude and the associated Upstream Production assets and projects.

**What’s the role?**

Your accountabilities include the following:

- Providing excellence in delivering Marine technical and operations services to Prelude and associated operations.
- Support Prelude marine operations assigned resources & Contractors.
- Executing that HSSE management of Marine contractors assigned is given priority by supervising Contractors staff in order to embed Safety Culture and high safety performance
- Deliver Marine Operations annual HSSE plan ensuring a robust safety culture exists, within all logistics operations, to provide all Marine logistics services risks are managed. Assure that HSSE cases are adhered to for all major contracts and activities. Support emergency response procedures and capability.
- As requested by the Head of Marine support the Assurance Coordinator to follow up of Marine incidents, accidents, and near misses. Effectively engage with internal & external staff to ensure Marine services activities are aligned with the company standards.
- Support Prelude in conjunction with Projects to ensure safe, cost effective and timely delivery of projects.

Marine Technical Support in the following:

- Daily Operational oversight of all Support Vessel operations related to cargo transportation and offshore transfers. Responsible for progressing Dynamic Positioning related vessel mobilization and operational issues / solutions interfacing with the Shell Houston based Marine Risk Team.
- Responding to and following up DP related issues and incidents. Leads and is responsible for Assurance for marine services related deliverables.
- Interface with Prelude Integrated Engineering teams. Focal point for providing relevant Shell documents to chartered Support vessels, supporting the development of interface documents, and maintaining up to date.
- Attends daily marine calls and holds the marine duty phone on a rotational basis.
- Specific Marine support for Shutdowns. Specific support to Crux project acting as Interface for marine operations and providing associated marine technical support.
- Supporting the GMAS (Group Maritime Assurance Process) Request and approval Processes for vessels, operators and workscope clearances.

**What we need from you**

To succeed in the role, you will have:

- Master Mariner Class 1 or Marine Engineer Class 1
- Extensive experience in Maritime Projects, ideally with visibility on other areas of Downstream / Upstream marine operations
- Direct exposure to marine contract management
- Cross Business experience or External Oil & Gas Logistics experience beneficial
- Experience with Maritime Assurance Systems advantageous
- Experience with incident management processes advantageous
- Experience with Causal Investigation processes or similar
- Skilled in understanding, executing, and improving Maritime Assurance Processes, Maritime Upstream Operations, Personnel Transport Operations, support operations for Non-routine Maritime events as well as managing Maritime Emergency Response
- Skilled in people management, Internal / External Staff effective management, communication skills
- Comfortable to go beyond comfort zone
- Passion for relentless Continuous Improvement
