About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
This role provides advanced case management support to people on bail with a range of complex needs who are participating in the CISP program, with a particular focus on supporting clients who are presenting with family violence related risks and needs. It also provides practice leadership and mentoring to case managers in relation to their work with clients.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess; Extensive experience in the assessment and case management of clients with complex needs. Detailed knowledge of the family violence system and demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Sound knowledge of evidenced-informed practice models and frameworks for working with clients presenting with family violence related risks and needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated report writing experience Experience in mentoring or coaching health and/or social welfare staff. Experience within criminal justice and or forensic services advantageous.
