**Amelia Read Psychology** is on a mission to empower neurodivergent individuals and families by embracing their strengths, dismantling stigma, and fostering resilience. We're now seeking an experienced and creative **NDIS** **Groups Facilitator** to join our growing team on the Gold Coast.

**About the Role**:
As a NDIS Groups Facilitator, you’ll be the creative force behind the development and execution of our inclusive, engaging, and supportive group programs that cater to the diverse needs of participants, while complementing the services offered at our clinic. This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, innovative, and autonomous, who thrives on connection, creativity, and community-building. We are seeking a passionate, experienced individual with lots of ideas, the drive to implement them, and the ability to facilitate an engaging space.

This role offers flexibility through a casual, hybrid position beginning with 10-20 hours per week and room to grow. A mix of weekday, after school, and weekend hours are required, depending on program schedules.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Program Development and Facilitation**: Design and deliver diverse social groups tailored to participants' needs, interests, and abilities. Assist with the development and execution of psych-educational groups facilitated by Amelia Read Psychology Psychologists.

**- Content Creation and Resource Allocation**: Create engaging content and resources tailored to the evolving needs of the group. Identify and source required resources in a timely manner and within the allocated budget.
- **Participant Engagement**: Build rapport with participants to understand their preferences, needs, and triggers, ensuring programs are inclusive and strengths based.
- **Event Planning**: Plan, organise, and coordinate the events. Assist with the logístical aspects, including venue selection, transportation, accessibility, and any necessary accommodations, ensuring smooth event execution.
- **Community Engagement**: Liaise with local organisations, service providers, and relevant stakeholders to foster partnerships expand the scope and impact of our programs.
- **Collaboration and Teamwork**:Work collaboratively with other team members to streamline and enhance program delivery, ensuring engaging, well-communicated, and efficiently run group programs.
- **Guidance and Supervision**: Supervise support staff during group activities, providing guidance as needed and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
- **Risk Management**: Identify and manage potential and actual risks, ensuring the physical and emotional safety of all participants, staff, and stakeholders.

**- Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records such as attendance logs, case notes, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- **Evaluation and Improvement**: Collect pre and post program feedback, conduct evaluations, and use this data to inform continuous improvement.

**What You Will Bring**:

- Experience in group facilitation, event planning, or community engagement (preferably in Disability, Mental Health, or Community Services)
- Strong understanding of the diverse needs of neurodivergent individual
- Understanding of the NDIS Framework and Code of Conduct
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
- A compassionate, inclusive, and trauma-informed approach
- Ability to work independently with initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team
- Passion for empowering neurodivergent individuals to thrive as their authentic selves
- Valid Blue Card, First Aid & CPR
- Driver’s license and own reliable car
- Yellow Card desirable
