
HR Coordinator

The HR Coordinator will be primarily responsible for assisting Maple Youth Services in finding the best talent, overseeing compliance, and learning and development. This includes writing job ads to inducting new staff, overseeing learning and develop and keeping up to date with relevant legislation. The role requires strong communication and judgement skills, ability to act decisively and solid decision-making abilities.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Liaise with the Executives regarding job requirements for Management and Support Staff;
Compose job descriptions; annual audits of all HR documentation;
Prepare employment contracts;
Ensuring all staff probity checks are always maintained and stored correctly;
Inform the Executives of any changes in the relevant laws;
Job advertisement procurement and appraisal of advertiser’s performance;
Recruit staff with formal reference and health checks;
Complete formal acceptance or rejection;
Complete onboarding/induction process;
Disseminate all company policies, procedures, training, job descriptions, client relations documents, newsletters, industry educational info, etc;
Equip, train and coach staff in quality & work health and safety (WHS) management;
Liaise with relevant departments regarding employee performance;
Send completed performance appraisals to relevant Managers and Executives;
Undertake monthly reviews for all managerial staff & annual reviews for all support staff;
Liaise with Executives regarding remuneration packages;
Supporting executives in conducting employee appraisals;
Prepare key performance indicators (KPIs) for each role & audit KPIs annually;
Process work-related injury documentation, manage work-related injury return to work programs, manage lost time to injury documentation & liaise with workers compensation insurer;
Document and facilitate industrial relation dispute resolution;
Organise external and internal training;
Manage permits to work.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum one year’s experience as HR Coordinator or similar HR role
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Willing to work outside of standard office hours
Intermediate in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent time management skills
Strong analytical and decision making skills
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Strong project management and multitasking skills
A strong sense of accountability and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, can accomplish tasks without direction.

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
