Is an iconic Australian food manufacturing company with sites across Australia and New Zealand. At their site in Southwest Sydney, they operate 24/7 with production running Monday - Friday and maintenance & project work commencing on the weekends. With 100 years of manufacturing experience, they are a manufacturing company which holds an excellent reputation in the market and a place people want to work.
**Your new role**
The newly formed Maintenance Manager role will plan and implement an effective and efficient maintenance program to ensure fast cost-effective support to the production function. You will optimise all maintenance resources for the efficient operation of production machinery.
Additional responsibilities:
- Oversee and plan maintenance activities with efficient and effective allocation of resources to ensure adequate maintenance coverage across shifts (3 shifts)
- Monitor the performance of all processing equipment and manage repair, overhaul and servicing of equipment.
- Provide data and insights to support the development of the preventative maintenance program for all processing machinery, plant, services and structures.
- Lead maintenance team with a focus on a practicable and operational outcome.
- Identify, plan and implement changes to existing process, installations and maintenance methods to improve safety, product quality and cost reductions.
- Develop or obtain all Technical Services manuals for all equipment on site.
- Ensure that while carrying out maintenance functions full compliance is given to regulations, codes of practice, legislation.
- Support the implementation of WHS programs within the maintenance business unit.
- Provides a point of professional reference for maintenance - providing information and advice to team members and management.
- Carry out root cause analysis on all machinery.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager in regard to all scheduled maintenance
- Action and improve key performance indicators for the site relating to maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Source appropriate contractors and quoting for work required to be outsourced.
- Pursue continuous improvement opportunities to improve service and or reduce costs.
**What you'll need to succeed**
This role is reporting into the Manufacturing Manager. Allowing them to focus on the wider manufacturing processes. Therefore, we are looking for a Maintenance Manager to come in and hit the ground running, enthusiastic, passionate about manufacturing and having a positive nature about themselves.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Manager within a manufacturing environment
- Management or Supervisor experience from a Food, Beverage, FMCG or Pharma manufacturing company
- High degree of numeracy, literacy and accuracy
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- In depth understanding of maintenance processes
- Experience using electronic maintenance systems
- Project management experience
- COVID Vaccination
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
