Our client, a logistics provider seeks **Maintenance Procurement Manager** to be based in **western suburbs** of Melbourne.

**About the role**:
The Maintenance Procurement Manager is responsible for the evaluation and purchasing of consumables and most capital equipment, they are also responsible for the internal maintenance team (currently 5 direct reports) and coordinating external maintenance contractors.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Coordinate preventative maintenance programs
- Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are being met and report any areas of concerns to the OH&S Manager.
- Train, develop and coach both new and existing staff
- Promote team culture and constantly motivate staff to strive for an efficient and effective maintenance of warehouse.
- Liaise and coordinate with external contractors to ensure various equipment is in good working order.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of maintenance/cleaning staff.
- Procuring and ensuring consumables are available and seek best value for it
- Maintain and develop professional relationships with all external stakeholders/suppliers/customers.
- Provide feedback as to continuous improvements that may be made both for procurement and maintenance of the facilities.

**About you**:

- Previous experience in a similar role/capacity.
- Strong planning, coordinating and organisational skills
- Ability to establish and follow processes and procedures accurately
- Excellent people and process skills
- Hands-on approach with a high attention to detail
- Ability to supervise, train and develop staff.
- Forklift license and experience would be advantageous
