**The Company**

Join a market leader who is a supplier in the Conveyor and Bulk Materials Handling industry. Our client who is well established supplies conveyor products and parts to OEM’s, resellers and service companies as well as supplying mechanical and rubber trades to support operators of conveyor systems.

Their clients include mines, ports, quarries and the manufacturing and production industries. In addition to supplying quality bulk handling systems they, undertake servicing and maintenance their installations state-wide. An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced and capable Production Manager to join their Brisbane based team.

**The Role**

Working at their South Brisbane facility you will be responsible for overseeing the production and maintenance functions, reporting to the Owner.

Your duties will include:

- Driving production and assembly in the workshop and ensuring production targets are met
- Managing stores including procurement of parts and availability when needed
- Ensuring field service is carried out as a priority in line with customer needs
- Improvement and customization of existing lines according to customer needs
- Managing the production team and service technicians
- Minimizing hours and improving efficiency
- Liaising with production staff, service technicians, technical sales engineers and the sales manager

**You**

To be successful in the role you will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Demonstrable track record in a similar position - minimum five years experience working as a Production Manager
- High level of competency in industry and safety standards
- Attention to detail
- Exemplary communication both written and verbal
- Advanced knowledge of OHS / Safety / Quality
- Trade background would be an advantage
- Must have the ability to manage staff in an engaging manor
