**About the role at News Corp Australia**

Reporting to the Editor and Digital Director you will:

- Ensure our social media channels capture the passion of our audience and that our content speaks to them and suits the platforms they are engaging with us on.
- Utilise social platforms to share, source and interact daily with our audiences. You’ll effortlessly strike the balance between content that informs, educates, entertains and creates conversation.
- Drive the best social food coverage in the country — the person who takes the role needs to be a game-changer. You’ll have the responsibility over all of our social media accounts, providing best practices, growth strategies, and innovative use of social platform tools/functionality.
- Tell us about emerging platforms, developing trends and new tools before they become mainstream, all the while utilising a network of the country’s best food writers, chefs, travel specialists, photographers and videographers, as well as having the freedom to develop your own original concepts.
- Introduce new and innovative ways to increase our social media footprint, through continually exploring new customer trends in social communication and interaction.
- Have a critical eye for social media trends and work closely with the editorial and food team to create informative and useful content.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Social Media Management - Manage the social media accounts of their news organization and promote their stories through these platforms
- Multimedia Content Creation - Create multimedia content to accompany their articles or stories.
