**YOUR ROLE**

You’ll step into our newly created Executive Manager-level role in Group Legal to develop, lead, and inspire a high performing team (5, in total) providing legal services to IAG enterprise-wide concerning employment, industrial relations, and safety & wellbeing. Not only will the team provide world class legal and governance services, but you will also champion compliance and ethical conduct across the Group.

Bring your continuous improvement mindset to further uplift the ways of working and processes for your team and provide meaningful contribution to enhance the wider legal function. A pivotal part of the role will be to build out a plan aligned to IAG’s strategy and provide a clear vision for your team.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Your experience will highlight 10+ years in top-tier law firms and leading corporates, along with strong leadership and talent development skills.
- Previous experience where you’ve defined and shaped strategies and initiatives into tactical plans and successfully executed the delivery.
- Advanced legal skills (eg technical legal analysis, advice preparation, effective communication, drafting of contractual and other documentation) and depth of commercial experience.
- Leading, inspiring, and developing a high performing team.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, along with project management capabilities
- Bachelor of Laws or equivalent, with Australian legal expertise essential and NZ an advantage
- Qualified as a legal practitioner and admitted to appropriate professional body (eg Law Society of New South Wales)
