We are now looking for an experienced Video and Motion Editor to join us in a newly created role. This is a great opportunity to join us at a very exciting time of growth.

This role is being offered as a part-time opportunity 3 days a week, on a 3 month contract basis initially.

The Editor - Video & Motion will work closely with the wider content team to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director's vision and meets the project’s objectives and scope. In short, you bring sight and sound together in order to tell a story.

**The day to day will include**:

- Taking a brief that grasps the project vision and specifications
- Reviewing a shooting script and raw material to ensure the final edits reflect the creative direction
- Storytelling through the edit process, with varying levels of direction depending on the brief, production approach and raw material
- Manipulating and editing motion content in a way that meets the brief
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximise efficiency

**What you will need**:

- 5+ years proven experience as a video/motion editor
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Demonstrable editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- Degree in film studies, cinematography or related field preferable
