**Your new company**
Based in Sydney CBD this brand-new Insurance start up is currently recruiting their first ever employee. This brand-new agency work closely with their legal stakeholder who specialise in commercial disputes, insolvency and restructuring work within specialist insurance lines such as Professional indemnity, D&O, Trade Credit + Surety. As a result they require a seasoned BDM or Insurance sales professional to grow out this new product line launching soon within the Australian market.
**Your new role**
Working as a Principal BDM you will be;
- Develop & maintain business relationships with new and existing clients and insurers
- Identify insurable risks and designing and negotiating appropriate insurance solutions for the clients
- Assisting with the development, planning and implementation of the product to best meet the needs and objectives of the Company.
- Quoting new business - end to end
- Preparation of commercial insurance quotes, renewals, invoicing, and document/task management
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will have;
- Experience as a BDM, Relationship manager or Broker within Professional Lines.
- Tier 1 (insurance broking) qualification highly regarded but not essential
- Demonstrated business acumen
- A great network within the brokerages, insurers + underwriters
- Drive to build a new business the way you want
- Experience in people leadership (preferred)
