About the Role
Runcorn State High School has a diverse cultural community with large numbers of students from a variety of different backgrounds. We see diversity as our strength and we work together to continue to build a culture of high expectations for all students. Our academic and sporting excellence programs are well known around the community.We are seeking a Head of Department (Secondary) to lead programs, special events, wellbeing and behaviour interventions in this section of the school. The successful applicant will also work as an integral member of our leadership team to continue to improve the school and educational outcomes for all of our students.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
