**Full-Time**

**Total Package $127,301 per annum (inclusive of superannuation guarantee)**

**About the role**

The Commercial Management Team at WALGA believes that contract management is all about relationships, so we are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills who gets satisfaction from assisting stakeholders.

The Contract Manager, Commercial Management plays a key role in administering the WALGA Preferred Supplier Program (PSP), particularly through the management of relationships with preferred suppliers and Local Government Members.

The role is responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of assigned panel contracts within the PSP. This largely includes assisting preferred suppliers and Members with enquiries and undertaking contract management duties in relation to the panel contracts.

This exciting opportunity would suit someone with experience in stakeholder management, with strong organisational, negotiation and problem solving skills and preferably an understanding of contract management.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience in stakeholder management.
- Highly developed problem solving and negotiation skills with the ability to identify issues and resolve them effectively.
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a collaborative team environment, showing initiative, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- An understanding of procurement and/or contract management within Local Government (desirable).
- Experience in using database and/or CRMs (desirable).
- Given the travel requirement of the role, a ‘C’ class drivers licence is required.

As the peak industry body, WALGA advocates on behalf of WA’s 139 Local Governments, and delivers training and services to members across the State.

WALGA has approximately 100 staff with the majority located in our West Leederville office and organised into key portfolios: Advocacy, Policy, Member Services, Infrastructure and Corporate and Executive Services.
