**The role**
ALS Geochemistry requires a
**Maintenance General Hand** to join our team.

Based in
**Malaga** and reporting to the Facilities Manager, this
**full-time** position would suit a person willing and able to turn their hand to any general maintenance tasks in a laboratory facility.

The successful applicant will be given on-the-job training in all aspects of routine maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure they fully understand the task while always complying with ALS HSE policy.

This role allows employees to expand their skill set into the maintenance and/or repairs of all on-site equipment.

**The essentials**
- Trade qualifications are not necessary, however, previous experience with power tools & hand tools on a professional or personal level is essential.
- Ability to perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance duties, general facility site repairs, simple metal fabrication tasks & repairs and helping other ALS tradesmen.
- Mechanical aptitude is beneficial.
- Carpentry and Fabrication experience highly regarded
- Excellent work ethic and team player.
- Committed to a safety culture while maximising productivity
- The **ability to work autonomously** with mínimal supervision, whilst being committed to the work of a team
- Current drivers’ license (**C** class) manual and own transport to and from different sites in the Perth region.
- **Proven ability to handle a busy and diverse workload.**
