Veterinary Lab Assistant

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a motivated and self-driven casual Veterinary Laboratory Assistant to join our diagnostic laboratory in Eight Mile Plains. Working as a member of the cross-functional veterinary diagnostic laboratory, you - as the successful hire, will support the Technicians and Scientists in the provision of high-quality, efficient, effective, and timely diagnostic testing services for the IDEXX Reference Laboratories.
Bachelor of Medical Science/or equivalent degree.
Experience working in either Serology, Haematology, Biochemistry, Endocrinology, Urinalysis or Parasitology departments within a diagnostic laboratory.
Understanding of IANZ and ISO 17025, 9001 standards
Ability to work on a casual basis across Monday-Friday, 7.30am-6pm and occasional weekends
Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment
Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
