The Technology Capacity Manager is responsible for ensuring that the technological infrastructure and capabilities of EGL are aligned with its strategic goals and operational needs. This role involves planning, managing, and scaling the IT resources and services to meet the current and future demands of EGL efficiently and cost-effectively.

**Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role**:

- Capacity Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive capacity planning strategies to ensure IT systems, networks, and databases can handle required workloads and scale according to EGL’s growth.
- Performance Management: Monitor, analyse, and report on IT system performance, identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and recommend improvements or upgrades to meet performance targets.
- Resource Allocation: Assess and allocate resources optimally across various IT projects and operations based on priority and impact, ensuring effective use of infrastructure and human resources.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Work closely with IT financial management to forecast future capacity needs and budget for infrastructure upgrades and expansions. Ensure investments are aligned with the EGL’s financial resources and objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify potential capacity-related risks and develop contingency plans to address them. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies during capacity expansions or modifications.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with IT project managers, system architects, and business unit leaders to gather requirements and ensure that IT capacity meets business needs.
- Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular reports on capacity status and health, document infrastructure changes, and maintain records for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Innovation and Research: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in IT capacity management and infrastructure. Propose and integrate new tools and techniques to enhance capacity planning and management processes.

**Qualifications**
Now let’s talk about you:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a capacity management role.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networking, storage, software) and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in capacity management tools and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework, specifically in areas related to capacity management.
